The Ruffing After School Crafts, Arts, and Language Society (aka RASCALS) is a new multi-session after-school arts initiative led by local artist and Ruffing parent, Mic Fox.

At RASCALS, students will have the opportunity to design, build, produce and collaborate in a less formal Montessori environment.

Session TWO
10/12 thru 10/28
Stop Motion Movie

Good news! Because of the overwhelming interest in our first session, we’ve decided to run the Stop-Motion-Video workshop AGAIN! Students will paint backgrounds, create characters, write a small script, and do their own voice-over work, resulting in a short collaborative movie that they can share with friends and family. 

This session is offered to our Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary students (1st-5th grade) who WERE NOT IN THE FIRST STOP-MOTION WORKSHOP.

This class will run from 3pm-5pm on Mondays and Wednesdays between 10/12 and 10/28. That’s six sessions over the course of three weeks.

3pm-5pm (Pickup at 5pm)
10/12 and 10/14
10/19 and 10/21
10/26 and 10/28

There are only 14 spots for this class. But there will be more opportunities in the future, I promise.

Again, this particular session is for kids who haven’t yet been able to participate in RASCALS. Please do not sign up if your child was in the September Stop-Motion-Class. We’ve got to spread the love. Please reach out to Mic with any questions at all.

  • Mic Fox is an artist an author based in Lakewood, OH. His love for making big whimsical art stems from his desire to see more big whimsical art in the world. If he’s not working on a book or a play or a big painting via Fort Famly Playhouse, you can find him helping others facilitate their artistic vision or cruising around on his bike.
